Whenever I travel for more than a week, I alway have a great time. If I'm gone for six weeks, I am a totally happy camper for the entire time until the last day. On the last day, though, I just want to be home. I miss my bed. I miss my shower. I miss my toilet. I miss driving my old truck. I miss my own computer. I miss my DVR. You get idea …
Anyway, I've had a WONDERFUL two-and-a-half weeks in NYC, but now that it's my last day in the city, I just want to be home in LA (for the day-and-a-half that I'll be there). I miss my bed. I miss my shower. I miss my toilet. I miss driving my old truck. I miss my own computer. I miss my DVR …
I'm really excited about getting to Honolulu as well. S/O and I will be there for five weeks and it'll be great, but on the last day, I'll just want to be home in LA as well. That's just how emotional me seems to work …
Today will be great, though! Significant Other is off to visit friends out on Long Island so I have the day to wander about the city on my own one last time. I'm planning to head over and stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge (one of my most favorite things to do on a cool-ish day) then wander through Manhattan up to a street fair. There is a high likelyhood that some dim sum in Chinatown, a pizza slice or two, and a Magnolia Bakery cupcake will be involved in my activities in some way today!!!
It's 2AM on July 12, so you may be home by now, enjoying the at-home-ness of it all. :)Have a wonderful visit in Hawaii. Post some photos if you can!
