on the road boston style …

We rented a car and took a drive up to New England to visit the Significant Other’s siblings.  Significant Other’s sister and brother live in Boston.  L., lives in a GORGEOUS historic condo one block off Boston Common in Beacon Hill. For two nights, I got to pretend that I was rich and lived in the chic part of town!  Given my two day test drive, as a pseudo wealthy person,  I strongly suspect that being I could adjust well to being extremely wealthy.  (Note to self, buy a Lotto ticket from the 7-11 Store at the end of the block when I am back to my real life in Mid-City Los Angeles living among the hoi polloi …).

We had a nice dinner with S/O’s sister, brother, and sister-in-law at a cool Malaysian restaurant. I had some very yummy mango chicken.  I ate a lot of mango as a kid growing up in Hawaii, but we NEVER EVER cooked with it so it was a very cool taste sensation for me.

Because we were also right off of Boston Commons, we happened upon the Stanley Cup celebration for the Bruins.  It was a lot of fun!
