on good americans …

Hmmmm … You know how conservatives like to talk about how they're "good Americans," love to wear flag lapel pins and chant "U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A …" at conventions and stuff?  Well, apparently, at least some conservatives aren't really as much about THE American dream as much as they're about THEIR American dream. (I haven't done the research on this, but I'd suspect that it is pretty unlikely that gay Asian folk would really have much chance at getting a call back at the casting call for the movie version of Americans For Prosperity's: Defending the American Dream Summit  …).

Really people?  Cheering about the fact that an American city lost their bid for the Olympics is just poor form and kind of Un-American don't you think?  Shame on you! I say again … Shame on you!

Thank you to Andy at the Towleroad for the point.

  1. The only reason I can thing of why they'd be cheering over the fact that America didn't get the 2016 is that it was something President Obama wanted. After all, they're already fighting as hard as they are against health care reform, based only on the fact that he's behind it.Talk about a one-note song.
