I make no pretense at having good taste in things … Not in the books I read. Not in the clothes I wear. Not in the restaurants I patronize. And ESPECIALLY, not in the TV that I watch!!! My latest tv obsession is one that I find fascinating in that it is the most realistic depiction of mean girls in middle school that I've ever come across. The MOST fascinating part in all of this, however, is that the girls aren't in middle school. They're the REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY!!! Mean girls grown up!!! Yay!!!
You know, I don't really know why I watch the show except that it is a bit like driving by a car wreck when you're on the freeway … I know that I should avert my eyes, but I just can't seem to look away! There have been other seasons of Real Housewives … Atlanta, Orange County … But none of them caught or held my attention. The Housewives of New York, though, are special. Don't ask me why.
