We've been busy!
We got "kidnapped." Our friend, Ming, likes to take us around NYC. We met up on Canal Street in Chinatown where he told us, "I'm going to take you to eat the best dim sum in NY. It's fifteen minutes away …" Ming then proceeded to walk to a bus loading area where we got onto an eighteen passenger van. We didn't know it at the time, but this time around Ming decided to take us to eat at a restaurant in the Chinatown in Flushing, Queens. It was, indeed, the best dim sum that I've had in NYC! So worth it and it was a great adventure!
We grabbed some pizza for dinner and killed some time because we had Xanadu tickets for an 8:00 curtain. We got to see kids enjoying the summer and we grabbed some delicious cupcakes from the Magnolia Bakery. OMFG!!! So worth the calories and so lives up to the hype!!! So good!!!
Xanadu lived up to all of the it's campy hype!!! It brought back a lot of good memories. Good times!!!
We finished up with a walk through Times Square before we grabbed a snack and got on the train to go home to Brooklyn.
This is my very first video post!!! Check it out!!! I'm so proud that I now possess this skill (which, I might guess, most incoming seventh graders have been able to do for about the past three years … sigh …). I'm still proud though!!! It so amazes me that there can be that much activity in Times Square at 11:00 at night. Pictures alone can't capture how much energy there is in that place.
I'm tired today!!!
Super cool! And now I'm also hungry. Thanks 🙂
