Kiddies that I teach waste an absolutely appalling amount of the Earth's resources. Reams and reams of paper, literally, get printed in our big building and never picked up. AAAUUUURRRRGGGGG!!!
In celebration of Earth Day, we began collecting printouts that got sent to printers, but never got picked up and started tacking them to this bulletin board. The amount of paper on the board is deceptive as there are some places where the paper is layered six, eight, and ten sheets deep on the board. It is a LOT of paper and it isn't even ALL of the paper!
Yesterday, a young man noticed that his papers were on the board and angrily RIPPED the sheets off the board and stormed out the door.
… And the Earth smiled!
I love it! Now if we would stop wasting paper to put ten million signs about the same thing all over our library.
