This Boy's Life – Tobias Wolff
In this true vividly constructed tale of the author's boyhood in the 1950s. Toby and his divorced mother move from Florida, to Utah, to Washington State in search of a life better than they have, often fleeing from the abusive and sometimes violent relationships that Toby's mother seems to find time and again. After his mother finally remarries and the family if moved to a small out outside of Spokane Toby has little choice but to endure are the hostile machinations of a violent stepfather. This is a great read and is not to be missed!
